Looking for real rock garden plants?

Nature has filled every environmental niche with interesting plants. With most of the world's land mass composed of rocky, sandy, and gravelly soils you can be sure that there are some spectacular flowering plants that thrive in these conditions. So don't be prejudiced in thinking that "rich" soils are better than "poor" soils when it comes to beauty, utility, and food value.

Here's a listing of a few of the plants that prefer these conditions.
