Zigadenus densus is a perennial. Flowers: Crow poison (locally known in some parts as Osceola's plume) has dense racemes of six-petaled flowers each with petals 1/4 to 1/2 inch long having a very small gland at its base. May and June are the usual months for blossoms. The blossoms are typically of a white color.
