"Jacques says . . ."

Jacques has never wanted to run with the big dogs.  I do my own thing on my small acreage vineyard.  That includes a few extra rows of grapes "just for me".  Jacques like to experiment with different wine making techniques so having the different varieties in his own back yard is a real incentive.

Did you know?

Q:  What can I do with the multiple selection feature?

A:  Pressing the Delete button during a multiple selection will delete all of the selected items.

Using the clipboard Copy command when you have multiple items selected will copy all of the selected items to the clipboard.  You can then use the Paste command to copy them to another database.

The abstract view show the selected items.  By changing the multiple selection template (in the customization settings area), you can see the selected items in a miniature report-like format.  This is a quick way to produce simple report printouts.

When exporting data you can choose to export only the selected items.

When publishing  you can choose to publish only the selected items.

 Frequently Asked Questions

Tips . . .

How do I customize the Abstract View?

A:  The Abstract View provides a single point of reference for the currently selected specimen record. When you're actively making changes to your data you'll need to use one or more of the specimen data entry views, but when you want to see it all together, you can use the Abstract View.

You can change the way the abstract is formatted by using the Customize settings . . . area. This is where you can choose which template to use as a basis for your abstract. There are two types of templates -- detail pages and summary tables. The detail page template that you choose will be used whenever a single specimen is selected. By contrast, the summary table template that you choose will be used whenever multiple specimen are selected. see the full story.
