The American Fern Society	Established in 1893 with the objective of fostering interest in ferns and fern allies. Encourages the exchange of information and specimens via its newsletter the Fiddlehead Forum.
British Pteridological Society	The British Pteridological Society was founded in 1891 as a focus for fern enthusiasts. Provides information about ferns through its publications the Fern Gazette, Pteridologist and Bulletin. Organises talks, plant exchanges, and spore exchanges.
